Main Reason Why Bayern Munich already drawing up long-term replacements for Harry Kane and it’s bad news for Arsenal

Even though Harry Kane is having yet another incredible season, Bayern Munich executives are apparently already considering his long-term replacement.

With 17 goals and eight assists from 14 games this season, the 31-year-old is still drawing attention in his second season at the Allianz Arena.

Kane has scored 61 goals in 59 appearances since joining Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, and he is hoping to win a trophy for the first time in his career.

Bayern is reportedly looking forward to life beyond the European Golden Boot winner, even though the England captain is committed to the team until 2027.

Sport Bild reports that the Bundesliga leaders have created a shortlist of four candidates.

Among them is Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, who scored a hat-trick against Manchester City on Tuesday night in the Champions League.

Bayern and other possible bidders are aware that the Sweden international, who has already scored 23 goals this season, won’t be cheap.

Gyokeres, who has an £84 million release clause, acknowledged in September that he was priced out of a summer transfer.

However, given that Mikel Arteta is a renowned admirer of the former Coventry star, Bayern will probably have to compete with Arsenal for his signature.

According to certain reports, the Bavarian team is also considering Benjamin Sesko and Lois Openda of RB Leipzig.

Sesko has scored seven goals this season, while Openda has six goals for the season.

Sesko, a 21-year-old who turned down a summer transfer to the Emirates to continue his development at the Red Bull Arena, is another youngster Arsenal had previously kept an eye on.

However, according to sources, the Gunners may try to rekindle their interest in the young player in 2025.

Omar Marmoush, a forward for Eintracht Frankfurt, is the fourth player Bayern wants.

The 25-year-old has already had a spectacular season, scoring 12 goals in 14 games and dishing out nine assists to his teammates.

Along with Kane, Marmoush is one of just two players in Europe’s top five leagues to have at least ten goals and five assists.

Last month’s exciting 3-3 draw with Frankfurt, in which the former Wolfsburg player was directly involved in three goals, left Bayern supporters in awe of the Egyptian.

Though it’s unclear if they will formally express interest in the player next year, Liverpool has been strongly linked to a move for him.

There is no indication that Kane will be ejected or forced to leave. Being prepared, like they were when Kane left Tottenham Hotspur for Barcelona and Robert Lewandowski departed for Barcelona, is more important.

Addressing Bayern’s Champions League performance before their match against Benfica on Wednesday night is a more urgent issue for manager Vincent Kompany.

After consecutive losses to Aston Villa and Barcelona, they are currently in 25th place, outside of the knockout round play-off spots.
