Bayer Leverkusen tell Liverpool the players they want included in stunning Florian Wirtz swap deal

According to reports, Bayer Leverkusen has made it clear to Liverpool who they would like to see included in a trade for star player Florian Wirtz.

Liverpool’s operations in what is anticipated to be a highly busy transfer window have already begun with the official purchase of Dutch defender Jeremie Frimpong.

The Reds are rumored to be pursuing a number of elite players, including Frimpong’s former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Wirtz, after winning the Premier League title in Arne Slot’s first season as manager.

According to a number of sources, the Bundesliga team is seeking €150 million (£126 million) for the German international, but more lately, it has been suggested that they would trade him in exchange.

Furthermore, it has been stated that Leverkusen has informed Liverpool of the two players they would be interested in acquiring in a sensational trade for Wirtz.

A number of Liverpool players have been linked to leaving the team in order to make room for new arrivals during the early days of the transfer window.

One of these players is young forward Harvey Elliott, who Leverkusen is reportedly considering signing to replace Wirtz, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old seems to have lost favor with Slot, despite making an impression during his stints under former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Rumor has it that he will go in the summer.

Last season, the Englishman made 28 appearances for the Reds in all competitions, but majority of them were as a late substitute.

Following recent indications that they were considering making a bid, Wolverhampton Wanderers were thought to be Elliott’s most likely destination; nevertheless, Liverpool will almost surely give him to Leverkusen if he can assist in securing a deal for Wirtz.

However, Plettenberg also stated that Leverkusen may ask for Jarell Quansah to be included in the deal for Wirtz, so Elliott is not the only player they are apparently considering seeking from Liverpool.

Quansah is thought to be among the players Liverpool might be willing to transfer in the summer, should a good offer be made, much like his teammate.

Newcastle United has previously been connected to the English defender, but it’s uncertain if the Premier League team would express interest again this summer, which may lead to a move to Germany.

This season, Quansah has made 25 appearances for Liverpool, 13 of which have been in the starting lineup.
