Barcelona Take Final Stance on Marcus Rashford amid Man Utd Return Reports

Barcelona, who have the option to purchase Marcus Rashford for £30 million in the summer, signed him on loan.

Despite rumours that the team was thinking of sending Marcus Rashford back to Manchester United, Barcelona has made a decisive decision on the winger who is now on loan.

Rashford joined the Blaugrana on loan after Ruben Amorim at United rejected him; the Blaugrana had the option to purchase him permanently for £30.3 million.

Two of Rashford’s three La Liga outings for his new team have come off the bench.

He only made one start, against Levante, and was replaced by Dani Olmo at halftime when Barca was behind 2-0. Hansi Flick’s team then made a stunning comeback to win 3-2.

According to a now-deleted post in El Nacional, Barca’s top brass referred to Rashford as “shy, imprecise and lost” on the pitch and were considering terminating his loan early because the England international wasn’t yet making headlines.

According to certain reports, club president Joan Laporta and sports director Deco had previously targeted Luis Diaz and Nico Williams as left-wingers and were never entirely committed to signing Rashford.

Journalist Guillem Balague has commented to the allegation, but Barca would still have to pay almost £4 million if they sent Rashford back in the middle of the season.

What Barcelona informed Rashford’s agent
Balague claims that Barca has no plans to stop the loan and is still hopeful that Rashford will play a significant role for them this season.

“Absolutely rubbish that Barcelona is planning to end up early @MarcusRashford loan deal,” Balague stated on X.

“Barca expressed to his agent their strong belief in Rashford’s ability to bounce back and become a top player again.

“No more to say, apart from the fact I agree with Gary Lineker and his treatment by some media.”

In Sunday’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying victory against Andorra at Villa Park, Rashford started for England and played 68 minutes on the left flank before Anthony Gordon took his place.

England boss Thomas Tuchel is happy with his recent play despite the fact that he hasn’t scored a goal for his country in nearly two years.

According to Tuchel, “He’s obviously a left winger.” He was allowed to roam inside today. He had an amazing training week, and it was obvious that we wanted him to start because of how well he played on the left side.

England plays Serbia on Tuesday before Rashford rejoins Barcelona, who take on Valencia in La Liga on September 14.
