Barcelona Make Early Decision on Signing Marcus Rashford Permanently From Man Utd

He only joined the club in July, but Barcelona has already decided on Marcus Rashford’s future after being “really shocked” by Manchester United’s value.

Rashford, who signed a season-long loan deal with Barcelona after being nominated to Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’, has had a bright start in Catalonia.

So far, the English international has three goals and five assists for Hansi Flick’s side, including a game-winning brace against Newcastle in the Champions League last month.

According to The Sun, Barcelona is “ecstatic” with Rashford, with club officials pleased with his work ethic and potential.

In fact, they are willing to consider making his debt permanent.

According to a source, Barcelona’s financial position was an initial impediment to signing Marcus. They also assumed United were playing a game since they were willing to let him leave.

“They thought it was too good to be true; there had to be something wrong with him. His brother Dwaine persuaded them that there was nothing wrong and that he was not going to mess them about.

Their words were: “Barca are now really shocked that they could sign him for what they see as a bargain.”

How much Barcelona would have to spend for Marcus Rashford
As previously said, Barcelona’s financial status has been a concern in the past, but it appears that the club will be able to sign Rashford at a reasonable price.

According to the source, the reigning La Liga champions would have to pay £25 million plus £5 million in add-ons to complete the transaction, while United would also be entitled to a part of any sell-on revenue.

“Absolutely rubbish”: speculations about Marcus Rashford’s future smashed by journalist
Last month, Spanish magazine El Nacional reported that Barcelona is considering transferring Rashford back to Manchester United.

It was reported that people behind the scenes at Barcelona were disappointed with his beginnings at the club, describing him as “shy, imprecise, and lost” on the pitch.

But journalist Guillem Balague dismissed the claims. “Absolutely rubbish that Barcelona is planning to end up early @MarcusRashford loan deal,” he tweeted during the interview.

“Barça told his representative that they have a lot of confidence in Rashford’s potential and that they believe he will recover as a top player.”

Balague went on: “No more to say, apart from the fact I agree with Gary Lineker and his treatment by some media.”
