Barcelona decide which player they will force out with huge sale to register Marcus Rashford and it’s a shock name

To play the Manchester United loanee, outgoings are required at Camp Nou.

In order to sign Marcus Rashford, Barcelona has chosen to let go of a surprise player who does not want to leave the team.

The forward left Manchester United to join the La Liga team on loan for the season, with Barca having the option to buy Rashford the following summer for an estimated £26 million.

As manager Ruben Amorim restructures the team to suit his preferences, Rashford, 27, seems to have no future at United.

Along with Tyrell Malacia, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, the England international was one of five players at United who had been practicing apart from the main first-team roster since the start of preseason.

After spending the second half of the previous season on loan at rival Premier League team Aston Villa, Rashford became the first member of the quintet to go, and none of the other players have since travelled to the United States to play for the team on its preseason tour of America.

Since then, Rashford has made his Barcelona debut, and in his second game with the team—a preseason friendly against FC Seoul—he recorded his first assist for his new team.

And even though they seem to want to stay, one of the present members is probably going to leave to create way for Rashford on Hansi Flick’s team.

Born into Barcelona’s renowned La Masia program, Marc Casado made his first appearance with the first squad in November 2022.

Since then, he’s made 41 appearances, scored one goal for Barcelona, and earned two caps for Spain.

Casado had his best season at Barca last season, making 36 appearances in all competitions and scoring in a 4-0 La Liga triumph over Real Sociedad in March.

However, it is now being rumoured that Casado will be moved out even though he does not want to move on to fresh pastures in order for Barcelona to register Rashford.

Casado’s future “hangs in the balance” and is “considered likely to leave,” according to the Spanish publication AS.

Additionally, Casado’s sale would free up more room in the team’s Fair Play system, allowing it to register players faster and meet the 1:1 requirement.

The report also notes that Frenkie De Jong’s presence and Marc Bernal’s return to fitness are likely to limit Casado’s playing time in his defensive midfield role.

According to the report, Barcelona is willing to negotiate a permanent move or a paid loan with a buyout option, but they value Casado at €30 million.

Despite the less playing possibilities that lie ahead, Casado is said to be “reluctant” to leave Barcelona because he has been a fan since he was a young boy and is eager to thrive there.
