“Arteta must not risk him against Man City on Sunday because they’re going to eat Arsenal up if he starts against them”- Arsenal icon Thierry Henry and Skysport pundit Jamie Carragher says struggling Arsenal star must be no where near the starting XI for Arsenal against Man City this weekend

Arteta should refrain from risking him against Man City on Sunday, since they are certain to overpower Arsenal if he begins the match.- Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and Sky Sports analyst Jamie Carragher feel that the underperforming Arsenal player should not be included in the starting XI against Manchester City this weekend.

Henry asserts that the struggling Arsenal player, Carragher, is ‘in question’ for the match against Man City.

Both commentators feel Gabriel Martinelli’s starting position is ‘in jeopardy’ for Arsenal’s Premier League match against Manchester City this weekend.

Arsenal started their Champions League campaign with a scoreless draw against Atalanta on Thursday evening, facing difficulties in generating significant scoring opportunities against the previous season’s Europa League champions.

Martinelli wasted Arsenal’s prime opportunity in the second half and has now prolonged his streak to 17 matches without a goal or assist for the Gunners.

Arsenal is now preparing for their match versus City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and Carragher believes that Martinelli’s position as a starter on the left wing is in jeopardy.

“Odegaard is undoubtedly a significant loss as he initiates the flow of the game,” Carragher stated to TNT Sports.

He ventures into that area for [Bukayo] Saka, creating space for him and facilitating a pass.

Kai Havertz was much constrained tonight, lacking his usual mobility. The attempts to reposition him were ineffective; a dedicated striker is necessary. Perhaps Leandro Trossard will assume that role this weekend.

“While Martinelli’s position may be uncertain, he requires greater composure in front of goal; however, I believe the manager will retain his trust in him.”

Henry stated, “It is a learning process; one must undergo it and learn collectively, drawing from each other and observing the dynamics within the dressing room.”

We were conversing with Declan Rice regarding Martinelli, who has not scored in 17 matches. Will he disseminate the love and leadership that you require?

Rio Ferdinand expresses concern on Arsenal’s insufficient attacking prowess against Atalanta, particularly in light of their next match versus City this Sunday.

“My concern for the weekend pertains to creativity; as the manager noted in his post-game remarks, there was a degree of sloppiness, and ball retention was not at the desired level,” Ferdinand stated.

Improvements are necessary; they must exhibit more clinical precision and decisiveness when presented with one or two opportunities. It is unlikely that City will provide them with five or six opportunities; I would be astonished if they receive even that many.

Today, Martinelli had a huge opportunity but lacked composure. They must rectify their conduct if they are to achieve any success against Manchester City.
