Astute Premier League supporters may have noticed that this weekend’s schedule does not include a Saturday noon kickoff, meaning they will have to wait a few more hours to see their first taste of top division action.
On a normal Saturday, fans of the English top flight can start watching games at 12:30 p.m., with kickoffs occurring at 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and occasionally at 8 p.m. when there is a heavy schedule.

However, as previously stated, due to changes to the regular programming schedule, that is not the case for the upcoming weekend. Why, then, has the regular schedule of Premier League games on Saturday and Sunday been altered?

There are fewer games to cover because the games for Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Liverpool have all been moved.
The former two clubs, Arne Slot’s Liverpool and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, will not be playing in the Premier League until the following weekend since they have a Carabao Cup final on Sunday afternoon.
The Sunday schedule has been impacted by the Reds vs. Magpies match at Wembley as well. Both the Fulham vs. Tottenham Hotspur match and Arsenal’s all-London matchup against Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have been moved to 1:30 pm.
In order to accommodate the cup final, which should be an exciting match in the capital, Ruben Amorim’s trip to the King Power Stadium has been postponed until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, when Leicester City hosts a wild Manchester United. None of the three games will take place at the customary times of 2:00 or 4:30 p.m.
