Arsenal plots late transfer raid for Blackburn Rovers player before 7 p.m.

Arsenal are planning a late move for one of Blackburn Rovers’ youthful talents, with the Premier League leaders expected to make a seven-figure bid before Monday’s 7 p.m. deadline.

The Gunners are looking to strengthen their youth program, with Igor Tyjon a player who has been on their radar for some time. While Rovers have been keen on keeping the striker, his contract issue has left them incredibly susceptible.

Arsenal are now keen to bring the 17-year-old to the Emirates Stadium and end his relationship with the Lancashire club.

However, Blackburn are only willing to collaborate with Mikel Arteta’s side if they can sign their own striker before the transfer window closes.

According to Alan Nixon, Arsenal is planning to pay Blackburn Rovers over £1 million for Igor Tyjon, a teenage striker who has represented England and Poland at underage level.

Tyjon’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and if no agreement is reached today, he will be free to go at the end of the summer – but Blackburn will be entitled to compensation if this occurs.

The 17-year-old turned down a professional contract with the Championship club, and his two-year scholarship is likely to expire in June, giving Valerien Ismael’s side one more chance to secure a significant amount for their highly regarded attacker.

Nixon has also indicated that Blackburn’s attempts to bring in their own striker are currently failing.

How Valerien Ismael feels about Igor Tyjon’s future with Blackburn Rovers

While Ismael’s future is uncertain, with Slaven Bilic potentially taking over as the dugout at Ewood Park, he has commented about Tyjon’s present Blackburn situation.

Before Rovers’ 1-0 loss to Hull City, he commented (via Lancashire Telegraph): “I don’t know. The last thing I’ve heard is that he didn’t want to renew his contract. So, from this point on, I believe anything is possible with him. I believe we have demonstrated a lot, not only to him, but to all of the young players, since I arrived. I have spoken about building a pathway for the young players.

“I’ve done it so far, and it was up to everyone to take the opportunity to show up at some point.” However, we will eventually require the players’ commitment. I can only go one direction with him. I believe that is just the scenario in which we are with him.”
