There are reports indicating that Nottingham Forest have expressed interest in Eddie Nketiah and have identified the Arsenal striker as their primary objective.
Forest has submitted a bid for Eddie Nketiah, but Arsenal has rejected their offer of £25 million. Arsenal is anticipating a higher offer in the range of £30-35 million.
During the summer, it was claimed that Nketiah had reached an agreement with Marseille on his personal terms for a transfer away from Arsenal. Nevertheless, the Gunners declined two offers from the Ligue 1 team due to their inability to reach a consensus on the transfer fee.
Arsenal have rejected a deal from Premier League rivals Nottingham, according to The Athletic. Forest, who have been seeking to enhance their offensive performance, submitted an initial offer valued at £25 million ($32.4m) inclusive of additional incentives. Nevertheless, the Gunners have declined the deal since they anticipate a payment between from £30-35 million ($38.9-45.5m) for the Hale End graduate.
Since his debut for Arsenal in 2017, Nketiah has accumulated a total of 168 games and has netted 38 goals in the interim. In 2019, the striker was also temporarily transferred to Leeds United, but he could not make a positive impression and subsequently returned to the Emirates.
While Nottingham Forest has been contemplating a potential transfer for Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord, their primary focus at the moment is on securing the services of Nketiah. They aim to finalise his signing before the closure of the summer transfer window.
