Arsenal fans have already made their minds up on Noni Madueke after just 13 minutes vs Villarreal

On Wednesday, Noni Madueke made his Arsenal debut in a friendly match against Villarreal at the Emirates Stadium.

When Noni Madueke made his debut against Villarreal, Arsenal supporters got a peek of him, and many of them made snap judgements.

With Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga all receiving minutes on the pitch on Wednesday, Gunners supporters were able to see the first Emirates debuts of all of their new acquisitions.

Prior to losing in a penalty shootout, the La Liga team lost 3-2, with Norgaard scoring one goal.

The final summer addition to the Arsenal roster to get onto the pitch was Madueke, who made his debut after joining from Chelsea for £48.5 million.

The England international missed his penalty in the shootout and gave Villarreal the win on penalty kicks after playing 13 minutes after replacing Gabriel Martinelli late in the game.

Although some Arsenal fans have found his signing to be a little disappointing, many were thrilled by his appearance and believed he offered more than Martinelli.

“Madueke doing more in less than 5 minutes than Martinelli did,” acknowledged one X fan.

“I apologise, but Madueke is superior to Martinelli,” a second person said.

One additional person said, “Madueke has done more than Martinelli on that wing.”

“Madueke super direct, I like that!” said a fourth. Continue to attack your man.

As one last individual put it: “Noni Madueke is a million times way ahead of Martinelli.”

What were the opinions of fans regarding Viktor Gyokeres?
After making a fleeting appearance in the loss to North London rivals Spurs in Hong Kong, Viktor Gyokeres, a new striker worth £55 million, also made his maiden appearance in Arsenal colours.

Gyokeres played 62 minutes but struggled to get going and only managed one shot on goal. He did not have a proper preseason because he was trying to force his way out of Sporting.

Arsenal supporters believed that their team did not play to the Swede’s abilities, and many were afraid that until they altered their offensive strategy, they would not be able to get the most out of him.

Mikel Arteta commented on Madueke’s debut, saying: “He was very eager to join us right away. His willingness is evident in what he has done. I also believe that the reception he received was excellent.

When Arteta’s team plays Athletic Club in the Emirates Cup on Saturday, they will be back in action.

They visit Old Trafford on Sunday, August 17, to begin their new Premier League season.
