Arsenal fans demand Gary Neville is banned from their games after Max Dowman comment

Arsenal fans want Gary Neville banned from commentating on their games following his remarks regarding Max Dowman.

Arsenal fans want Gary Neville banned from commentating on their games because he made a comment about Max Dowman on his Premier League debut.

Dowman, 15, made his league debut for Arsenal in their 5-0 victory over Leeds United on Saturday.

He entered the action shortly after the hour mark as part of a triple replacement.

And the teenage star dazzled on the right wing with his dribbling abilities.

Dowman won a penalty for his team in stoppage time after being tripped by Anton Stach, who was standing on his foot inside the area.

On commentary, Neville wasn’t certain it was a foul until he saw another side of the story.

The Sky Sports analyst quickly altered his mind after seeing a replay of Stach’s foul on Dowman.

Even though he later corrected himself, Arsenal fans on social media chastised the former Manchester United captain for his remarks on Dowman.

They felt he implied that Dowman had dived to win the penalty.

Fans are sure Neville, who was critical of Viktor Gyokeres prior to his goals, despises the Gunners and wants him barred from commentating on their games following his assertion.

One X user commented: “Gary Neville should never be able to comment on Arsenal games again, guy. Dowman, 15 years old, was fouled in the penalty area, and he’s calling him a diver on live commentary.”

A second person said, “Brother.” The Dowman kid. Asking for the ball since he came on, he finally gets it and receives a penalty! Unreal talent. Plus, Gary Neville shuts his f**king mouth in an attempt to deny it was one.

A third added: “Gary Neville should not be a commentator on Arsenal games; he despises the club and even tried to sh*t on Dowman. This guy is a hypocrite. “He can’t even hide his hatred.”

Another person said, “Neville was frantic for Dowman to be diving there. That’s embarrassing.”

Dowman makes his Premier League debut at the age of 15 years and 235 days, becoming the second youngest player.

With Bukayo Saka’s injury, the kid should see more playing time in the coming weeks.

What did Mikel Arteta have to say about Max Dowman’s Premier League debut?
Mikel Arteta praised Dowman for his spectacular cameo against Leeds.

“We need to get all of the facts. It’s how he reacts and handles the problem. What his teammates think of him is evident since they keep throwing him the ball. It’s fantastic to be able to shift the energy in the stadium by bringing him in, and he made an impact. “He won a penalty on his debut at the Emirates, which is unbelievable,” he told Sky Sports.

“It’s a credit to his family, how these kids were raised, and the environment that was created. They are not overwhelmed by their surroundings and circumstances. And the academy’s efforts in raising young kids with confidence and understanding of the game at the age of 15.”
