He had fallen out of favor with head coach Ruben Amorim, and as a result, Antony, who was 24 years old at the time, left United on loan during the winter transfer window.
And since he joined the club based in Seville, he has experienced a marked improvement in his performance, as evidenced by the fact that he has already scored twice in just three matches.
Because of his outstanding play against Athletic Club and Celta Vigo, the winger has been honored with the title of Man of the Match in recent weeks.
During his first game in the Conference League, which took place on Thursday evening in Belgium, the Brazilian player made a positive impact by scoring a spectacular goal that put his team in leading position.
During the festivities that followed the goal that he scored, he disclosed a message that was printed on a shirt that was worn underneath his match jersey.
The message, which was a verse from the Bible, was read as “Exaltado seas sobre los cielos, oh Dios; Sobre toda la tierra sea tu gloria.” This verse, which is translated into English as “Exalted seas above the sky, oh God; Above all the land, your glory,”
He will, of course, be hoping to keep up his impressive form and even possibly return to United if Amorim, who is 40 years old, considers the player to be a part of his plans.
It is abundantly clear that Antony is having a good time in Andalusia, and he disclosed that he was aware that this would be the case.
Antony was quoted as saying, “In my heart, I knew that I would be very happy at Betis, I was sure about that,” as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

When he signed with United from Ajax in the summer of 2022, the 24-year-old player still has some work to do before he can be considered worthy of the rumored transfer fee of 81.3 million pounds that United paid for him.
