Anthony Joseph, a Sky Sports reporter, stated that the former Arsenal player is poised to join Celtic.
After weeks of waiting, there is finally movement at Celtic. Martin O’Neill deserves a lot of respect for the job he’s done as interim manager, and it appears that he’ll be in charge for a few more games. However, the 73-year-old club legend was never going to be a long-term option for the Hoops.
Many believed that O’Neill would be maintained in command until the Scottish League Cup final. Of course, the opportunity to see him win one more trophy with Celtic was going to be unforgettable. However, there is a risk that a new manager may undermine the momentum that has been built up in recent weeks, with the Hoops winning four consecutive domestic games, including a Glasgow Derby.
However, Celtic have decided against it. They plan to bring in Wilfried Nancy by next week. He won’t be joining us either.
According to Anthony Joseph, Nancy’s assistant Kwame Ampadu is also expected to join Celtic. The club hopes to finalize the transactions before the weekend, with the Frenchman taking charge next week.

Ampadu managed Arsenal’s junior teams for around six years. Aside from it, he played for the club but was unable to establish himself as a significant player in the senior team, eventually moving on to other English teams, albeit less well-known.
It’s great to see Celtic enabling Nancy to bring his backroom team with him. In the past, we’ve seen them refuse to do that for other managers. Ange Postecoglou is an excellent illustration of this, however it did not prevent him from prospering.
One can only hope Nancy has similar success at Parkhead. Comparisons have been drawn between their journeys and their football styles.
