Oxford United F.C.’s ambitious stadium project has been called into question after a High Court judicial challenge was filed.
Campaigners are attempting to halt the club’s proposed 16,000-seat stadium at “the Triangle” near Kidlington, claiming the council acted illegally in granting approval. Concerns expressed include environmental dangers, questions about adjoining woodland, and uncertainties about traffic planning.

The group’s lawyers, Leigh Day, have sought the court to reverse the clearance, claiming that important objections were ignored. A judge will now assess the matter to see if it should advance to a full hearing.
