On Thursday night, a few young players from Chelsea’s academy came to watch Conor Gallagher and Atletico Madrid play in the Champions League.
This summer, Gallagher moved from Chelsea to Atletico; Blues youth players witnessed the UCL victory.

Gallagher’s devotion to Chelsea was evident this week when the midfielder snapped a picture with the team’s academy members following Atletico Madrid’s Champions League victory against RB Leipzig. The young Blues players made sure to grab a quick picture with the Cobham graduate as they were getting ready to compete in the Madrid Football Cup among some of the top academies in Europe.

Gallagher wrote on Instagram, “It’s great to see some of the academy boys in Madrid.” I’m grateful that you came to see the squad and me last night. I wish you luck in the competition.”

Gallagher has consistently given his all on the field for Chelsea, as evidenced by his most recent social media post, which further solidifies his unwavering loyalty to the London team. Despite his rapid success at Atletico, it appears that he will always be a Blue at heart.
FUTURE PLANS FOR GALLAGHER?
Diego Simeone’s team will play La Liga again on Sunday when they visit Rayo Vallecano, following their Champions League victory over RB Leipzig. Against Valencia last weekend, Gallagher scored the team’s first goal.
