Alisha Lehmann made her feelings clear on ‘gent’ Marcus Rashford after nightclub incident

In 2023, Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, allegedly stepped in to stop Swiss footballer Alisha Lehmann from getting involved in an altercation in a Manchester nightclub.

Fortunately for the Swiss football player, the Manchester United player was ready to lend a helping hand when she needed it. Rashford, 27, and Lehmann, 26, had apparently never met before the event.

With 16.8 million Instagram followers, Lehmann is the most following Swiss athlete. He plays for both the Swiss national team and Italian powerhouse Juventus.

To put this into perspective, the famous Swiss tennis player Roger Federer has 13 million followers.

In some respects, the 26-year-old’s social media fame has also provided her with a forum to express her views on a variety of topics, such as the disparity in compensation between male and female football players.

She has also been able to land several rich sponsorship deals because to her celebrity, including a recent partnership with the Italian swimwear brand Tezenis.

However, there are significant drawbacks, as most well-known individuals would tell you, and Lehmann apparently encountered this firsthand in 2023 when visiting a nightclub in Manchester.

Rashford helped Lehmann after she was overcrowded when she arrived at Chinawhite in Manchester, a source told The Sun.

“Marcus cleared a table and invited her and her friends to join them,” the insider stated.

Even though they had never met before, he was aware of Alisha’s identity.

She thanked him after they spoke for a short while. They continued to party with their respective groups of pals after that.

“She believed him to be a gentleman.”

Lehmann has already talked about the drawbacks of her celebrity.

In 2023, Lehmann told The Times, “A lot of people only see the social side [of my life, via Instagram] and not actually how I play football.”

I put a lot of effort into my work every day, therefore I become a little disappointed about this. I strive to be the best player I can be, so I train daily.

“They’re not particularly aware of my playing style. Every time I say, “Watch a game, please,” they are taken aback.

At the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, Lehmann is presently playing for her country. Later today, her Switzerland team will play world champions Spain in a quarterfinal match at the Wankdörk Stadium in Bern.
