Alexander Isak’s Liverpool Wages Have Already Been Revealed

Alexander Isak is leaving Newcastle United because he wants to transfer to Liverpool, where he can expect a significant boost in weekly salary.

The 25-year-old has gone from St James’ Park hero to Tyneside villain in a matter of months, as he is pressured to leave Eddie Howe’s team. His stance is allegedly that he will not play for Newcastle again while he pursues a move to Liverpool.

Liverpool has yet to match Newcastle’s £150 million valuation of the striker, having failed with a £110 million offer. But the Reds are eager to make him their next big-money signing, as seen by the money they are willing to offer him.

Alexander Isak Set To Become One Of Liverpool’s Top Earners

Isak reportedly earns £120,000 per week at Newcastle, making him the club’s joint-third highest earner after Kieran Trippier and Sandro Tonali. He will see that figure double if he joins Arne Slot’s defending champions before the window closes on September 1.

According to Sky Sport Germany, Liverpool want to make the former Real Sociedad forward the joint third highest earner in Slot’s squad. He is likely to make £250,000 per week, which is the same amount that new recruit Hugo Ekitike received when he arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Isak would be behind Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who both signed new contracts earlier this year after their previous contracts were slated to end this summer. Their Egyptian attacker, who won the golden boot last season, now makes an incredible £400,000 each week.

Van Dijk, who led Slot’s Reds to Premier League victory, earns little less than Salah, with £385,000 per week. The tide has shifted at Anfield in terms of spending, with the club ranking fifth in the Premier League’s pay bill in May.

Jurgen Klopp famously stated that the Merseyside club could not compete with the wealth of Manchester City and Newcastle United. If Isak puts on a red shirt in front of the Kop next season, they will most likely have broken the Premier League transfer record while advancing up the salary bill rankings.

How Much Are Isak’s Potential Golden Boot Competitors Worth?

Liverpool aren’t the only big six team to spend substantially this summer; City and Arsenal have also strengthened their rosters. The Gunners swooped for Viktor Gyokeres, Europe’s top striker last season, who is expected to earn £200,000 per week.

Erling Haaland joined the Etihad in the summer of 2022 and has since won the Golden Boot twice in three seasons. He earns a whopping £525,000 with the Cityzens.

Manchester United has been working hard to rebuild Ruben Amorim’s team, including a total makeover of the front line. Their new number nine, Benjamin Sesko (below), who was Newcastle’s top Isak replacement, is expected to earn £160,000 per week.

Despite the signing of Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion, Cole Palmer is expected to remain Chelsea’s goal-scoring machine. The English forward has been earning a respectable £130,000 per week at Stamford Bridge.
