Alexander Isak’s Liverpool Debut Stats Emerge After Dramatic Win vs Atletico

When Liverpool defeated Atletico Madrid, Alexander Isak made his debut.

Following his official Liverpool debut against Atletico Madrid, Alexander Isak’s statistics have been made public.

Liverpool and Atletico played a Champions League classic in front of a crowded Anfield stadium.

Arne Slot’s team quickly took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson.

Marcos Llorente’s brace, however, put the score at 2-2 before Virgil van Dijk’s header in the closing seconds sealed a 3-2 triumph.

Liverpool’s perfect start to the 25/26 season thus persisted.

Isak made his Liverpool debut during the game after joining from Newcastle United for a record-breaking £125 million.

In the 57th minute, Hugo Ekitike finally took the place of the Swedish international.

Isak’s numbers have surfaced on social media following his debut wearing a Liverpool shirt.

Isak made 25 touches in his 57-minute cameo, four of which were in the Atletico box, according to CBS Sports.

Furthermore, only one of the 25-year-old’s two shots on goal was on target.

Isak was dispossessed zero times, but he also created one chance and made two passes into the final third.

Robertson, the vice captain of Liverpool, remarked of Isak’s debut: “I thought Isak was excellent.” He didn’t really have a preseason, but he was outstanding, particularly in the first half. Naturally, I became exhausted, and it’s incredible to see a talent like Hugo perform. They are the club’s future; they are the ones who will move it ahead, and I have no doubt that things will only grow better.

“A lot of players join, but you do need to assist them because they are all young. Playing for one of the most demanding clubs is a very different experience, and it entails pressure and responsibility. All of us have prospered from it, and these guys will too.”

This weekend, Arne Slot’s team will return to Premier League action when they play Everton at Anfield in the first Merseyside Derby of the 25–26 campaign.
