According to talkSPORT, Brendan Rodgers may leave Celtic at the end of the current season to resume his Premier League career.
Before leaving for Leicester City, Rodgers had a highly successful first spell at Celtic Park from 2016 until 2019, which provoked debate among fans. In 2023, he returned to Glasgow with the goal of re-establishing contact with his followers. Since then, he has guided the Hoops to successive domestic championships.
Upon his return, the Northern Irish manager signed a three-year contract that would end next summer. As a result, this may be his final campaign in command of Celtic.
Alex Crook, talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent, has suggested that Rodgers may choose not to extend his contract and instead return to England. Crook recommended Crystal Palace, Fulham, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest as prospective Premier League destinations.

Crook explained:
“Brendan Rodgers’ contract expires at the conclusion of the season.” According to the information I’ve heard, there is a growing suspicion that he will not renew his contract and may decide that it is time to leave Celtic for the second time.
In the event that this occurs, he will be named to several Premier League short lists. Oliver Glasner at Palace, Marco Silva at Fulham, and Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth are all nearing the end of their contracts, potentially resulting in a managerial merry-go-round in the next summer. A coach with Rodgers’ qualifications could spark their interest.
Furthermore, Nottingham Forest should not be overlooked; the club’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, has repeatedly voiced his appreciation for Rodgers.
The former Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou, is under increasing pressure at Nottingham Forest after failing to win any of his first seven games in charge. The situation is similar to his slow start at Celtic in 2021-22, but his employment was not in serious threat at the time.
According to The Athletic, ticket sales have declined under Postecoglou’s leadership, but the team continues to support him. The upcoming Premier League encounter against Chelsea may have a huge impact on the Australian-Greek coach’s efforts to turn around Forest’s fortunes.
