Alan Shearer almost had Sky Sports ‘taken off the air’ during Carabao Cup final because of what he did

In the event that Alan Shearer’s text message to Mark Chapman was read out loud during the broadcast of the Carabao Cup final, Sky Sports would have been taken “off the air.”

This season’s Carabao Cup was won by Newcastle United, who defeated Liverpool by a score of 2-1.

The first goal of the game was scored by Dan Burn with a powerful header, and then Alexander Isak added another goal to his team’s lead. Following a review by the video assistant referee, Federico Chiesa made a late comeback.

With his comment on commentary, Clive Tyldesley left viewers in fits of laughter at Wembley Stadium, where a large number of famous people and legendary figures from Newcastle were present. Among those in attendance were Ant and Dec.

In addition, Shearer, a great player from Newcastle, was present during the broadcast that took place on Sunday.

At the same time that Newcastle supporters were cheering for Shearer’s appearance on the big screen, the match cameras also picked him up.

Following the outcome of the match, Chapman disclosed on air that he had sent a text message to the Premier League legend regarding the match.

As a joke, he claimed that he had received a message that would have resulted in Sky Sports stopping its broadcasts.

“You can see Shearer on the big screen here, which is why they are cheering,” Chapman explained during the coverage of Newcastle’s post-match celebrations that was provided by Sky Sports.

‘Are you calm?’ I asked him via text message about fifteen minutes ago. I am unable to reveal what he responded because doing so would result in our program being cancelled.

Through his posts on various social media platforms, Shearer was able to articulate his feelings in response to Newcastle’s victory.

The cartoon “Toon Toon” is a rumble. Oh my goodness. Is it true that the Geordies deserved that or what? That was absolutely incredible,” he wrote on X.

In another post, he made the following statement: “I know I’m p**sed but ……. Liverpool are a great club and will win the league and have been brilliant this season but the Geordies absolutely smashed them today and deserved it….”

During his time with Newcastle, Shearer amassed an impressive 206 goals, but the club was never able to secure a major trophy during his tenure there.

He did, however, take pleasure in his former team’s victory over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
