Achraf Hakimi Slammed by Fans For Actions During PSG’s Champions League Final Win

Paris Saint-Germain, led by Luis Enrique, succeeded. After a seemingly easy 5-0 victory over Inter Milan, the French team is now the European champions and appears to be unbeatable going ahead. However, fans have criticized Achraf Hakimi for his actions during the match in Munich, Germany.

The 26-year-old Moroccan right-back was present to secure his team’s first of five goals before PSG intensified play minute by minute. Enrique’s team jumped on Simone Inzaghi’s team, who wasn’t at the races, and Desire Doue made it 2-0 in 20 minutes.

PSG is still in cruise control, thus the historic Then, in the 63rd minute, Doue scored his second goal of the match, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Fally Mayulu also scored. However, Hakimi’s post-goal response has drawn a lot of attention online—and not for the best reasons.

Hakimi’s Post-Goal Reaction Slammed by Fans

‘The game has never been more gone’

As previously mentioned, Hakimi, who is considered to be among the top defenders in world football, scored the first goal, adding another goal to his incredible 2024–2025 season total. He has recorded nine goals and fourteen assists across all competitions.

He scored easily after going unmarked at the back post as Les Parisiens began their five-goal rout of Inter Milan, but based on his response as the PSG crowd went into raptures, it didn’t appear to be the case.

The right-back was cool and collected, displaying restraint as he put his hands in the air to apologize to the Nerazzurri supporters, instead of wheeling away in celebration as most players would do after scoring the first goal of a Champions League final.

This is due to the fact that the 83-cap Morocco international, who started his remarkable career in Real Madrid’s legendary academy, played in the San Siro during the 2020–21 season before moving to the French capital and rapidly rose to the top of his position.

Supporters online, however, are not happy with Hakimi’s choice to not celebrate his goal on the grandest platform of all. One irate fan tweeted, “Not celebrating in a European Cup final,” before going on to say, “The game has never been more gone.”

A few fans, however, agreed with the “classy” former Borussia Dortmund star, as one wrote: “Such a classy touch from the lad.” Another fan, perplexed by Hakimi’s decision not to go completely crazy after opening the scoring inside an ear-splitting Allianz Arena, highlighted the fact that he played a mere 37 games for the Serie A outfit during his season-long spell. They wrote: “Hakimi with a no celebration gimmick in a CL final, when only having played 37 games for Inter.”
