Abdul Fatawu sent a warning to Leicester City fans regarding Martí Cifuentes’ future following their 3-2 loss to Sheffield United.
On Saturday afternoon, the South Yorkshire outfit led 3-0 at halftime before Stephy Mavididi and Jordan James scored in the second half to bring the Foxes back into the game.
However, Cifuentes’ side were unable to complete their comeback, suffering their second defeat in a row following a 3-0 setback to Southampton in midweek, and pressure is rising on the Spanish coach as a result of the team’s disastrous start to life in the Championship.
Leicester were expected to compete for promotion to the Premier League this season, but instead find themselves in the bottom half of the table at the start of December, with a points deduction possible for allegedly breaking EFL spending rules when promoted two seasons ago under Enzo Maresca.
Abdul Fatawu sends a message of solidarity to Leicester City supporters.

Ghanaian winger Fatawu has stated on social media that it is time for Leicester fans and players to band together despite their poor league position.
He thanked the fans for their support against Sheffield United and believes the team will come back stronger the next time out.
“This is the time to stick together as a team, learn from our mistakes, and come back stronger on Saturday,” Fatawu posted on Instagram.
“Thanks to the foxes, the second half support was amazing.”

Fatawu played the entire 90 minutes in their 3-2 loss at home to Sheffield United, and the winger has appeared in all 18 league games this season.
The 21-year-old has three goals and five assists, including setting up Mavididi’s back-post header in the 53rd minute against Chris Wilder’s team.
Leicester are now 16th in the Championship table, five points behind the play-offs and seven clear of the relegation zone, following their latest setback at the hands of Sheffield United.
This current run of form has put pressure on Cifuentes, who will need to provide results in the coming weeks to avoid this threat to his position.
Leicester City’s promotion prospects are slipping away with their recent form. Wins are required to get fans back onside.

Despite their terrible form, Leicester are still just five points behind the top six, so they may still salvage their season if they can start producing consistent results – though the looming danger of a points deduction will not help.
However, their recent results do not indicate a speedy recovery, and their promotion ambitions are slipping away.
Cifuentes is under a lot of pressure right now, and another loss against Derby next weekend will make things much more difficult. Simply put, he needs a reaction from his squad, or he might be removed of his duties after only being appointed in the summer.
On paper, Cifuentes has enough top Championship talent at his disposal, but a choice may need to be made sooner rather than later if another individual has the potential to get the most out of this current squad.
