Aaron Ramsey, a former midfielder for Arsenal, has been appointed as the interim manager of Cardiff City, while Omer Riza has been fired from his position.
Following the Bluebirds’ humiliating loss to Sheffield United by a score of 2-0 on Friday, the decision was taken less than twenty-four hours later.
Ramsey, a midfielder who has played for the club ten times this season, will now take charge of the team’s next three Championship matches. This will be Ramsey’s first formal job in management.
In the Championship, the Welsh club is now in 23rd place with 42 points, one point away from safety. The Wales legend is entrusted with the responsibility of keeping the Welsh club afloat.
Additionally, the club has revealed that Chris Gunter, Joe Ralls, Tom Hutton, and Matthew Bloxham would be joining Ramsey in the dugout for the game.
The Bluebirds have not been victorious in any of their most recent five league matches, and they have only triumphed once in their most recent nine matches.
In September of last year, the 34-year-old individual obtained his coaching licenses for both UEFA A and Elite Youth A. Additionally, he has spent some time working with Cardiff’s under-18 team.
“Craig Bellamy, the manager of Wales, is one of the individuals who has predicted that Ramsey will be successful as a coach.”
When Bellamy made his statement in October of the previous year, he expressed his “quiet confidence” that Ramsey would have a future in the dugout.
Certainly, I am able to recognise that aspect of him [management]… According to Bellamy, “I believe that it is beginning to circle, because it does later on in your career.”

After wasting his darts money, a former global champion emptied the radiator to make pot noodles. “I’m quietly confident he will, I’m quietly confident he will see that part of the game for him,” the former tournament champion said.
“With his experiences and his knowledge, his understanding of the game, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t at a high level.”
Just a few days after Riza’s odd diatribe in which he referred to the club’s supporters as “clueless,” he was fired from his position as manager of the team.
Riza addressed the criticism that he has received from those who are upset with him as a result of the Bluebirds’ performance in recent weeks, which has caused him to come under pressure.
“I do read comments, I read all the comments from fans and unfortunately a lot of them are clueless,” Riza stated in response.
Immediately after the loss to the Blades on Friday, Riza was then involved in a heated conversation with a reporter.
Riza responded to a reporter’s question on what Cardiff needed to do in order to go back to winning ways on Monday, when they were playing Oxford United at home, by saying, “Score goals and not concede.”
In response to the reporter’s inquiry on whether or not the situation was as straightforward as that, Riza stated, “It’s football, isn’t it? The goal is to score more points than the other team.
After that, Riza was questioned about the manner in which he accomplishes it, and he responded by asking the reporter, “You tell me how I go about doing it.”
This is the response that the reporter gave: “I’m not the manager of Cardiff City, am I?”
The response that Riza gave was, “You are asking me how a question. In the past, I have provided you with an explanation of how we have handled the game, and going forward, we will apply the same strategy. You should make an effort to generate opportunities, score goals, and avoid giving up goals. At this point, there is nothing further we can do.
