Attacker Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich has been connected to a move away from the German team in recent months.
The 21-year-old has now disclosed that earlier in the summer, Joshua Zirkzee made an attempt to get him to sign with Manchester United.
After completing his transfer from Bologna to Manchester United, the Dutch international attacker desired the German international to accompany him to Old Trafford.
During their time together at Bayern Munich, Zirkzee and Musiala became friends. The 21-year-old has since admitted that their friendship was more of a joke, and it is their goal to play together in the future.
“You always joke around with friends and dream of playing together in a team one day,” he stated to Welt am Sonntag via SportWitness. Jokes are reciprocal: I also advised Josh to return to Bayern. However, you shouldn’t take that too literally.
A great inclusion would have been Jamal Musiala.
Unquestionably one of the top young forwards in the world of football, Musiala could have been a huge asset to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old could have changed them, and they could have used more cutting edge in the latter third.
Zirkzee, meanwhile, performed admirably in Italy before to joining Manchester United, so it will be intriguing to watch if he can establish himself right away and have an impact in the Premier League.
