Derby County Rejects Blame on Turki Alalshikh as Club Issues Fresh Statement on Current Situation.

Derby County’s Championship season has been a nightmare so far.

Derby, who missed out on the play-offs on the penultimate day of last season, would have hoped to contend for promotion again this season, but John Eustace’s side are currently at the bottom of the table.

Derby County suffer a disastrous Championship start after Turki Alalshikh’s ownership collapses.

Derby owner David Clowes has made no secret of his ambition to attract new money into the club in recent years, and a cash injection appeared to be near after Saudi billionaire Turki Alalshikh agreed to buy a majority position in the club.

The EFL and the Independent Football Regulator had approved the proposed acquisition, however Alalshikh abruptly withdrew from the takeover in August, stating that with the season already underway, he had “no time to prepare the team or the club for the season ahead”.

While the Rams went on to make additional signings after Alalshikh’s takeover deal fell through, including the permanent signing of midfielder David Ozoh for around £4 million, head coach John Eustace later claimed that the saga caused the club to lose “a lot of momentum on players that we were looking at”.

After the off-field drama of the summer, Derby have had a disastrous start to the season on the pitch, and they enter the November international break in the Championship relegation zone, with pressure mounting on Eustace as an increasing number of fans demand a managerial change.

Derby County fan verdict released on Turki Alalshikh theory as John Eustace is lambasted.

When asked if the club’s poor start is due to Alalshikh’s failed takeover, FLW’s Derby County fan pundit Shaun Woodward admitted that it is a contributing factor, along with the recent injury crisis.

However, he insisted that a managerial change is the only way to get the Rams out of their current predicament.Shaun explained to FLW that while Turki Alalshikh bears some responsibility for their late exit, the takeover cannot be solely blamed.John Eustace continues to have a strong squad.Last season, the majority of the squad contributed to the team’s eighth place finish.Although the planned moves were impacted, the squad’s core remains too strong to be in the current situation.

While injuries to our backline can be a contributing factor, the men who have come in should perform better as they are still Championship players.Eustace and his staff have struggled to encourage players, deploy ineffective tactics, and lack inspiration in post-match interviews, leaving them looking dejected. The players appear lost on the pitch. While Eustace can be blamed,

he will lose his job since the buck stops with him. However, the players have also failed significantly. The players have given up on recent performances, particularly against Millwall and Norwich at home.”They are playing in individual mode, not wanting to be the scapegoat. Fans can see them hiding on the pitch.”It’s disappointing to see a lack of concern for the team’s potential,

as they now rank 23rd in the league with the fewest goals scored and the most conceded.”We’re not creating anything, but we’re giving teams goals, so I believe there’s a combination of everything involved here.

“Although the takeover and moves were not ideal, I remained confident in our squad.Injuries have not helped the backline, but new players have not stepped up, and older players have not set a good example.”It’s been a shambles, and let’s be honest, the warning signs were there in pre-season. We looked lathargic and unfit, and that’s carried over into the season.””It won’t change until we get a new manager, and even then,

it’ll be difficult for someone to join the current group.”The confidence is at rock bottom; someone will have to come in and change the formation, people, rip up the script, and start over because we’re only going one way right now, which is League One.”

John Eustace cannot use the Turki Alalshikh takeover as an excuse for Derby County’s problems.

While Alalshikh agreed to invest in Derby and went through the EFL and IFR approval processes, Clowes and Eustace must have been aware that his takeover could fail, especially given his previous interest in other Championship clubs, such as Bristol City and Millwall.

Alalshikh’s late withdrawal would certainly have disrupted the Rams’ transfer plans, but Eustace still has a competitive squad at his disposal, including many of the players who helped the club finish ninth last season.

With all in mind, there is no reason for Derby to be in their current position, even given their long injury list, and it is impossible not to believe that Eustace will be fortunate to survive the forthcoming international break.
