Angry scenes broke out at Turf Moor on Friday following Burnley’s 2-1 Championship defeat to Wolves, with fans and stewards arguing over posters asking for chairman Alan Pace to leave the club.
The Clarets endured another dismal home defeat, as Tawanda Chirewa’s second-half goal capped the visitors’ comeback victory, leaving Burnley without a home league win in a year.
Footage of the protests has subsequently surfaced on social media, and rival fans from throughout Lancashire have joined in to mock the current problem.
Burnley supporters engaged in heated exchanges with stewards.

Turfy Topper, a Burnley supporter, released footage on X of a confrontation between fans and stewards after the final whistle.
The video showed fans and stewards assembling, with tensions appearing to rise as fans attempted to display placards denouncing the ownership.

According to the Burnley Express, stewards and police first attempted to prevent supporters in the Cricket Field Stand from displaying a banner demanding for Pace’s removal before it was eventually displayed.
Chants against the chairman were also prominent in the match’s latter minutes, and players were booed as they attempted to equalise.
The Clarets haven’t won at home in almost a year, and they’ve only won once this season, putting them in a bad scenario that could worsen, with fans seething over the predicament.
Blackburn fans have their fun as Burnley protest
Naturally, the footage uploaded on social media has piqued the interest of fierce rivals Blackburn, with ongoing protests providing ammo to their neighbours.
With that in mind, one supporter would express sympathy for the Burnley fans’ treatment, but then mock the situation, implying Pace should remain in charge.
After overcoming Watford last Saturday, Nicky Hayen’s side are now turning their attention to a trip to Lincoln, albeit the situation at the club could have completely changed by then, while the atmosphere among fans only worsens. Burnley endure another horrible evening against Wolves
Friday’s defeat extended the team’s home league winless streak to 21 games, the most recent coming against Leeds a full year ago.
Hayen’s side looked promising at first, with Jamie Vardy scoring in the 20th minute following a strong period.

Alongside the scrutiny on the ownership, Hayen remains under fire, with one win managed from 11 league matches, while Burnley failed to build on the 4-0 rout vs Watford last week.
After a decent performance at Vicarage Road, everything appeared to be improving; however, it appears that things are only going to become worse at Turf Moor.
