Connor Barron has expressed his excitement at securing a loan move from Rangers to Middlesbrough on transfer deadline day.
Borough have had a wild summer following their play-off final defeat to Hull City in May, with Hayden Hackney the most notable departure.
However, his sale, combined with a windfall from a sell-on option when Morgan Rogers signed for Chelsea from Aston Villa, put the Teesside club in a position to splurge.

However, entering onto the penultimate day, Kim Hellberg was looking for reinforcements, and Borough completed agreements for Amario Cozier-Duberry and Barron.
The latter has signed from Rangers for the remainder of the season, after falling down the pecking order at Ibrox due to a slew of new signings under Derek McInnes.
Barron will have been eager to move elsewhere, and he will now want to play a key role in Boro’s promotion campaign.

And, moving to Instagram, Barron shared a message after the transfer had been announced, as he expressed his satisfaction at the deal going through.

Connor Barron might be a smart signing for Middlesbrough.
Borough would need midfield reinforcements this summer with Hackney’s departure, and the club deserves credit for making some outstanding signings.
Sebastian Berhalter will be a key player for Borough this season, and Rokas Pukstas could be a wise investment, even if he will play in a more advanced role.
You could argue that Borough is well-stocked, but with one additional defensive-minded player, they now have excellent balance in the middle of the pitch.
Barron will undoubtedly have to work hard to move ahead of Berhalter and Aidan Morris, but he will have plenty of opportunities to demonstrate his abilities throughout a long, difficult season.
Barron is adept in possession, but he is also determined to win the ball back and will stick his foot in, making him ideal for Hellberg’s style of play.
Barron’s loan is a reasonably low-risk arrangement for Middlesbrough, and he will be anxious to make an impact on the team.
Middlesbrough are in fantastic position to push for promotion this season.
Following that, Borough will believe they are well-positioned to meet the demands of the second division.
As previously stated, the league is known for its relentlessness, which requires a strong squad, but Middlesbrough should be able to handle it today.
When you look at Hellberg’s first XI, there is a lot of quality, and everyone associated with Borough will be pleased with the deals they were able to complete throughout the window.
