Manager Pep Guardiola of Manchester City is juggling several injuries to key players ahead of their crucial matchup with Arsenal on Sunday as they look to win a record-breaking four straight titles.

John Stones and Kyle Walker will not play in Sunday’s championship match between Manchester City and Arsenal, according to Pep Guardiola.

Prior to the match at the Etihad, City’s defensive tandem suffered injuries while playing for England in the international arena. Their forced absence is a significant setback for the Treble winners. Walker sustained a hamstring injury during England’s 1-0 loss to Brazil on Saturday, and Stones was substituted out of the 2-2 draw with Belgium at Wembley after just ten minutes of play.

Guardiola responded, “Injuries? ” when asked about the state of injuries. Ederson is doing much better, but John and Kyle are no longer there. That’s just the way things are. In terms of recuperation, Kyle will have a harder time than John, but I’m not sure how many games he will miss.

Guardiola remained silent when asked if he was shocked that Stones started both matches despite England manager Gareth Southgate having other options in defense, such as Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton. “I have no comment on that situation,” the City manager stated.

Guardiola reflected on City’s continued pursuit of a repeat of the Premier League title, saying, “It’s good to be here.” We have performed incredibly well this season. It’s crucial to be vying for the three most significant titles of the season, especially considering what transpired during the previous season.

“There are ten Premier League games remaining, and each one is crucial at this point. We’ve played really well the past month, but the first game following the international break always makes you wonder, “What will happen?”

“We trained well yesterday, and after two more sessions, we’ll be prepared once more. He’s getting really good at it. He really helped, in my opinion. He took this risk, played with assurance, and became captain of Arsenal, where he now holds a significant role under Mikel.”

questioned about criticism Arsenal received for what was thought to be excessive celebration following their 3-1 victory over Liverpool in February. Guardiola remarked, “I don’t react for these things.” Please take a picture if you would like to. What’s wrong?”

Guardiola was questioned about the differences between Arsenal’s team then and now after the Gunners lost 4-1 to City in the previous season. Guardiola declared, “Same manager, same players.” They have a lot of control over the game, and they get better every time.

“You always get better when your manager is the same and your ideas are consistent. It becomes more challenging if you switch managers and players.”

Due to an injury, Kevin De Bruyne missed Belgium’s international break. Despite this, he trained at City all week, and Guardiola remained evasive when it came to the midfielder’s potential for Sunday. Guardiola remarked, “Kevin is really such an important player.”

“He had a difficult season due to injuries and setbacks; he missed some time, but he trained really well yesterday, so we’ll see how he is.”
