Cole Palmer injury: Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca provides update after England star ‘felt something’ during Europa Conference League victory over Servette

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, has provided an explanation for the early substitution of Cole Palmer during the second half of their 2-0 victory against Servette on Thursday.

Palmer descended down the tube while clutching his leg.
Maresca acknowledges that the England star was experiencing distress.
Anticipated to participate in the match against Wolves
At the end of the Conference League victory against the Swiss team, the attacking midfielder was observed walking towards the tunnel while clutching the back of his leg. This has raised concerns about a potential injury for the individual who scored 25 goals for the Blues in all competitions last season.
According to Maresca, the 22-year-old experienced some discomfort, but the new manager minimised the seriousness of the problem and anticipates Palmer will be able to participate in the next game for the Stamford Bridge squad.
“Cole experienced a sensation, however, his physical appearance appears to be unaffected,” Maresca stated during a press briefing. “He has already been examined.” He appears to be in good health and is doing well. It is hoped that there are no issues preventing his participation in Sunday’s game.
Palmer is expected to participate in the upcoming Premier League game on Sunday when the London club travels to Wolves. One week later, they would face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
