Leicester City are reportedly close to signing free agent Danny Ings.
Ings spent last season at Sheffield United after being given the opportunity to earn a contract at Bramall Lane, but he failed to make an impact in Yorkshire, scoring only two goals in 23 league games.

The 33-year-old left the Blades in May and is now poised to sign a one-year contract with the League One club, according to The Telegraph.
The Midlands side will be hoping that Ings’ top-flight expertise will propel them back to the Championship.
Leicester have been relegated twice in a row and need to rebuild their roster in order to compete for promotion.
And the former Burnley, Liverpool, and Aston Villa player is expected to become the club’s first signing since Russell Martin came over as head coach.
Who departed Leicester this summer?
Several Leicester players have already left the club this summer as part of a renewal, including Ricardo Pereira, Patson Daka, and Jordan Ayew.
Bilal El Khannouss’ loan move to VfB Stuttgart has been made permanent, while Jordan James and Joe Aribo have returned to Rennes and Southampton, respectively, after their loan periods ended.
Teenage winger Jeremy Monga is also slated to join Manchester City.
Monga was expected to join Arsenal, but City have since jumped ahead of the Premier League champions.
The 16-year-old has been with Leicester since 2017, and is claimed to have caught the attention of new City manager Enzo Maresca during their time together at the King Power Stadium.

Towering centre-back Jannik Vestergaard is also said to be in negotiations with the club about terminating his contract after failing to attend to training since the club resumed pre-season duties last week.
Can Ings only get better?
Leicester’s League One promotion campaign begins on August 15 with a trip to Notts County.
Martin’s first league game at the King Power Stadium is against Burton a week later.
And the Foxes finish August with a trip to Stadium MK, as they look to get off to a good start this season.
