Sheffield United are trying to rebound following a poor year.
The Blades made the play-off final in 2025, but placed 13th in the Championship last season, 13 points behind the top six.
Chris Wilder will be hoping to use the summer to turn things around at Bramall Lane, although the Yorkshire club will no longer benefit from parachute payments.
The 58-year-old will be eager to put the club back in contention for Premier League promotion in 2026/27, especially with the play-offs now expanded to include two additional teams.
However, with suspicion around important players such as Sydie Peck and Harrison Burrows, they may have a battle to maintain them.
Sheffield United has until September 1 to complete their transfer business, and Wilder will undoubtedly be looking to add players to his first-team roster.
Chris Wilder shares his thoughts on Sheffield United player sales.

Burrows and Peck have both been linked with leaving Bramall Lane this summer.
FLW revealed exclusively in May that West Ham are interested in the full-back, and the Hammers have also been linked with Peck, as have other top-flight clubs.
But Wilder has stated that any changes behind the scenes or to the first team squad must go through him before any agreements can be struck.
The Sheffield United manager has made it clear that his viewpoint is greatly respected by the decision-makers, and that it is a collaborative effort to ensure that the club always takes the correct moves.
“I’ve been involved in a lot of things at the football club, possibly too many,” Wilder told The Sheffield Star.
“The club will make a decision, but they will ask for my input on everything.
“It may be the coaching staff or the academy. We make all of our decisions collectively.
“I’ve said that all along, and I’ve said it to prior owners. When participants arrive, we make proposals, which are then reviewed and either agreed upon or rejected.
“It goes to the boardroom, where a consensus decision is made. Perhaps, from that perspective, it has always happened and will continue to happen.”
Wilder has stated that his responsibility is to ensure Sheffield United wins football games, but that he will also participate in any negotiations about player sales, and that he is normally on the same page as the owners.
“We produce young players, we put value into our players but only, and I’ve always said it, in a winning team,” the Blades boss remarked.
“My responsibility is to ensure that the team wins on a consistent basis.
“Look back a few of years and consider the value of the players, whether they are young, Harrison, Michael Cooper, or Gus Hamer.
“So, my job is to win games of football.”If someone comes knocking – and we can’t stop that – I’ll recommend a number, and I normally agree with Steve [Rosen] on our value and the financial sides of the club.
“I think we’ve all seen what’s going on at the Championship level, how much money is being lost, and what’s happening.
“That if you don’t take after the club financially, things may change quickly. And I don’t want that to happen here.”
Sheffield United have yet to make any additions this summer, but they have reached an agreement to bring back Jairo Riedewald after initially releasing him at the conclusion of his contract.
However, Andre Brooks and Alex Matos have left, with the latter moving on loan to Turkish club Goztepe.
Wilder will seek to bolster his first-team squad, but further sales are possible, with Gustavo Hamer’s future also being speculated about.
Sheffield United cannot afford too many departures this summer.

If Sheffield United are to challenge for promotion, keeping important players such as Hamer, Burrows, and Peck will be critical.
While one leave may be required to earn finances, especially since that parachute payments are no longer available, the club cannot afford to lose too many.
Last summer, Sheffield United sold Anel Ahmedhodzic and Vini Souza and struggled to replace them, so fans would be anxious if more key players left.
Involving Wilder in the decision-making process will be critical, as he understands the importance of keeping this squad together.
