Pompey are one point above the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s game against promotion-chasing Middlesbrough.
Don Goodman, a Sky Sports pundit, has confessed that he is worried about Pompey’s chances of staying in the Championship.
And the 59-year-old has provided his opinion on the Blues’ difficult run-in against Oxford United, Leicester City, and others.
On Saturday, John Mousinho’s team will travel to the Riverside Stadium to face promotion-chasing Middlesbrough.

Pompey travel to the north east having won none of their previous eight league games, yet they remain one point above the relegation zone.
It begins the Blues’ action-packed season finale, which will include matches against Boro, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Coventry City, Stoke City, and Birmingham City in the final three weeks of the season.
Mousinho’s team will face all of the current top three between now and May 2, making the battle to avoid relegation even more difficult.
Sky Sports analyst shares Pompey’s concerns in the survival struggle.
That run-in is of great worry to Goodman, who has examined Pompey’s final six games as they seek to avoid their first return to League One in two years.
The former Wolves, Sunderland, and West Brom ace told Sky Sports News: ‘They’re not being pulled into it; they’re in it. I believe John Mousinho would acknowledge this.
‘Playing the top three isn’t much harder than that.
‘At this point, with the way they’re struggling to score goals, it’s difficult to see them getting much out of that run of games, but it’s a run of games in which they must win something.
‘If they don’t get anything out of those games, I’d be concerned.
‘West Brom have gone unbeaten in six games, while Blackburn Rovers have two major wins in their previous four.
Those two have just that little bit of a jump and cushion, and it almost looks like two from Leicester City, Portsmouth, and Oxford United. A terrible battle at that end (of the table).
“If you talk about pressure, that’s where the true genuine pressure happens when teams are trying to survive.”

Championship survival battle appraised.

The Blues came from behind to secure a draw against relegation rivals Oxford United on Easter Monday, keeping them just above the dotted line moving into the next round of fixtures.
Mousinho’s men will then play back-to-back home games against second-placed Ipswich Town before facing 22nd-placed Leicester City.
Pompey will then travel to Coventry City, who could have already secured promotion before visiting the CBS Arena on April 21, and Stoke City, who are in mid-table.
Mousinho’s side will then finish the season against Birmingham City at Fratton Park, with the struggle to avoid relegation potentially going to the final day.
Oxford United, Leicester City, and the Blues are now separated by one point, with West Brom four points clear of the bottom three.
