Sheffield United’s season is currently at a crossroads, with fans at Bramall Lane still hoping to make the play-offs in the closing weeks of the Championship season.
The Blades are currently 15th in the table, with 50 points from 38 games, with Chris Wilder, at the absolute least, managing to lead his boyhood club away from relegation to League One following a catastrophic start to the season.
There is currently a 10-point gap for the Steel City club to close with only 24 more points to play for, implying that most people outside of S2 have given up on the club’s prospects of making the post-season lottery for the second consecutive season.
This follows a sequence of two draws and a defeat in the previous three games against West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City, and, most recently Birmingham City.
United were able to take a point away from St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park thanks to Patrick Bamford’s equaliser, which came after Marvin Ducksch’s amazing free-kick opener, a missed penalty from Sydie Peck, and Femi Seriki’s 23rd-minute punishment for fouling Ibrahim Osman.
The defender has found the last two games difficult, with his overall efforts in a mixed season for United as a whole giving a great bright spark and resulting transfer interest.
And, after being linked with a Premier League move in the winter transfer window, Football League World’s Sheffield United fan pundit, Jimmy (from the Blades Ramble YouTube channel), believes the club will show more interest in Seriki this summer.
Sheffield United rumored to be interested in ‘breakout’ star Femi Seriki following Everton links.

Seriki has been with United since the summer of 2019, signing from Bury, and has recently begun to win his place in the first-team picture.
Following a number of loan experiences, including a brief stay with Rotherham United in the second half of the 2023/24 season, the 22-year-old has emerged as a regular under Wilder and Selles.
Seriki has made 32 appearances for the Blades in all competitions this season, bringing his total to 63.
With a goal and four Championship assists, he has demonstrated his ability to be a creative danger from deep while still excelling defensively. Unsurprisingly, Everton was drawn to this.
Wilder wants the full-back to sign a new contract, as his present contract expires next summer. Jimmy anticipates interest from the Blades in signing him during the forthcoming window.”I’m expecting interest in Seriki this summer,” he told FLW.We anticipate receiving interest from Premier League clubs for some of our young players.Femi Seriki enjoyed a breakout season. He’s quite strong going forward. Jimmy boasted about his exceptional athletic ability. He still has to improve his defensive and positional play. This season, he has made significant progress as an attacking full-back and is now a regular in the first-team.He’d be a significant loss, but I believe he’s one of our most valuable assets,” he continued.
Andre Brooks, Sydie Peck exit claims made amid Femi Seriki talk

Jimmy also feels that academy grads Andre Brooks and the aforementioned Peck will continue to attract interest, despite the fact that the former was also pursued by Club Brugge in January.
Brooks, Seriki’s right side partner, has eight goals, while Peck, a youthful midfielder, is a steady presence. The speaker anticipates interest in Andre Brooks. He, like Seriki, has established himself as a first-team player this season. Their chemistry on the right side has been fantastic.
A little ‘one-dimensional’ at points. He cuts in frequently, but it complements Seriki’s overlap. I expect interest in Brooks.Jimmy said that Sydie Peck may fall into the ‘have to sell’ category rather than ‘want to sell’.”He consistently improves with each game.”Ironically, he may have played poorly against Norwich this season.Overall, Sydie Peck has made significant progress. “What a player we have there.”Sheffield United is in a strong position. All three have plenty of time left on their contracts, so we’ll have to wait and see. However, I believe that without parachute payments, we will be forced to sell in the summer.
