Sergej Jakirovic has indicated that Hull City may consider appealing Charlie Hughes’ red card after their 3-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
The defender was sent off in the 36th minute for hauling down Jed Wallace as the West Brom winger advanced down the right flank. Referee Josh Smith wasted little time in issuing a straight red card, leaving Hull with a big challenge for the rest of the game.

At the time of the dismissal, the home team was already up thanks to Josh Maja’s goal in the 24th minute.
With just over 20 minutes remaining, Aune Heggebø increased West Brom’s lead, capitalizing on the numerical advantage. Isaac Price then added a third goal deep into stoppage time to seal a comfortable victory for the Baggies.
Hughes is currently poised to miss Hull City’s Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday next weekend owing to suspension. However, Jakirovic acknowledged that the club will study the situation and decide whether to file an appeal against the verdict.
