Simon Jordan has chimed in on Leicester City’s appeal against the six-point reduction issued by an independent tribunal.
Because of their deduction, the Foxes are now in the Championship relegation zone with 14 league games remaining.
Leicester have also been eliminated from the FA Cup after losing 2-1 to Southampton last weekend, who also defeated the King Power Stadium club 4-3 in the Championship on February 10.
The Foxes have addressed their relegation concerns by hiring former Oxford United manager Gary Rowett, who successfully guided the U’s out of trouble last season.
Simon Jordan predicts severe penalty if Leicester City loses their point-deduction appeal.

Leicester have not won a Championship game since their 2-1 triumph over West Bromwich Albion on January 5, exemplifying the hard effort that Rowett must put in to keep his new club from being relegated to League One in consecutive seasons.
Meanwhile, as reported by BBC Sport, the Foxes have appealed the decision to remove six points for violating the EFL’s financial rules.
Jordan discussed the issues live on talkSPORT on Thursday, saying: “I hope there is a penalty for conducting a frivolous appeal, and I hope if they lose the appeal, they receive another three points. I do, since there are either regulations or no rules.
Leicester’s first game under Rowett will be against Stoke City on Saturday.
Despite finishing 14th after six league games without a win, the Potters are still only five points behind the Championship play-off places.
Gary Rowett should have what it takes to achieve Leicester City safety, notwithstanding the deduction.

Leicester’s deduction means the East Midlands club could be relegated to League One for the first time since 2009, when they were promoted from the third division.
However, Jordan’s argument that the Foxes should be punished an additional three points if their appeal is rejected appears unlikely to be imposed on Rowett’s team in actuality.
Meanwhile, if the King Power Stadium team hadn’t dropped six points, they would be 19th in the Championship, demonstrating that they are good enough to avoid relegation even if they lose the appeal.
Leicester’s deduction has definitely had a psychological impact on the squad, as they squandered a once-commanding 3-0 lead in their most recent home game against Southampton, losing 4-3.
However, Rowett’s career history suggests that he is more than capable of navigating the Foxes out of difficulty, having gained Championship experience with Oxford, Birmingham City, Millwall, and Derby County.
Furthermore, Leicester’s roster is substantially more talented than the Oxford group that Rowett managed until late December.
The 51-year-old should be excited to work with talented Premier League players like tricky winger Abdul Fatawu.
Rowett’s new club is currently in serious danger of relegation, but the former Derby County manager is optimistic that his players are capable of pulling themselves out of difficulty.
