Samuel Iling-Junior, an Aston Villa winger, is expected to end his loan term with West Bromwich Albion before the deadline in order to join Italian Serie A club Pisa.
According to Pete O’Rourke of X, Iling-Junior’s loan at West Brom will end this month in preparation for a move to Italian club Pisa.
By most accounts, Iling-Junior has struggled with the Baggies since his loan move in the summer, scoring only once in 24 Championship outings this season.
The former Juventus player has played in a variety of positions at The Hawthorns this season, under both Ryan Mason and, most recently, Eric Ramsay, but appears likely to quit the club early to return to Italy.
Samuel Iling-Junior is expected to have his loan term with West Brom cut short ahead of the Pisa swap.

Indeed, Iling-Junior’s loan with West Brom is being revoked today, and he will return to Italy to play for Serie A strugglers Pisa.
The 22-year-old joined Villa from Juventus in the summer of 2024 for roughly £11.8 million, spending the first part of last season on loan with Bologna and the second half with Middlesbrough.
Iling-Junior has struggled to make an impact since joining the Baggies on loan in the summer, with his solo strike in West Brom’s 1-1 home draw with Leicester City in September serving as the only glimpse of his talent.
However, with Iling-Junior leaving The Hawthorns, another Villa youngster, Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba, is due to transfer across Birmingham to West Brom for the rest of the season.
Jimoh-Aloba scored the winning goal in Villa’s 3-2 Europa League triumph against RB Salzburg last Thursday and is expected to join the Baggies on loan before the deadline, having spent much of his youth career with the club.
Iling-Junior’s time at West Brom has been unsuccessful, and Baggies fans will be hoping that Jimoh-Aloba will make a bigger impact when he arrives.
Eric Ramsay attempts to stamp his dominance on the West Brom squad following Samuel Iling-Junior’s loan cancellation.

It has not been the arrival that head coach Eric Ramsay had hoped for.
With Ryan Mason’s dismal career coming to an end, the Baggies attempted to select Minnesota United’s Welsh head coach Ramsay as his replacement, but with no victories and 12 goals surrendered in his first four games, he couldn’t have started off worse.
Goalkeeper Max O’Leary, signed from Bristol City, is their only January acquisition so far, with Jimoh-Aloba due to join when Iling-Junior’s loan is cancelled.
Ramsay will be hoping that Iling-Junior’s departure, combined with Jimoh-Aloba’s arrival, will have the beneficial impact that the Baggies so urgently need, as they now lie just above the relegation zone.
Iling-Junior’s loan spell left a lot to be desired, and many Baggies fans are devastated by the news.
