Phil Foden has joked Jude Bellingham ‘saved him’ from doing baby feeds with Euro 2024 goal

In order to avoid having to conduct baby feeds, Phil Foden has congratulated Jude Bellingham, his England teammate, for his late winner at Euro 2024—a bicycle kick against Slovakia.

To capitalise on Jude Bellingham’s incredible goal at Euro 2024, Phil Foden is desperate.

Since his newborn kid arrived last week, he has avoided having to return home to provide the night feeds. Foden was the only one with a better view of Bellingham’s last-ditch overhead kick against Slovakia.

Bellingham lunged to send the game into extra time, where Harry Kane’s winner gave England a 2-1 victory. He was strolling around the pitch and back to the dugout at the time.

As the entire bench rejoiced, Foden’s only thought was on how it prevented him from experiencing several restless nights in Cheshire. Because this coming weekend, England will instead play Switzerland in a crucial quarterfinal in Dusseldorf.

Foden said: “I thought ‘I’m 30 seconds away from doing baby feeding at home here’! Jude saved me there, therefore I’m grateful to him for doing that.

However, what he did is very incredible, to be honest. That’s basically Jude. He perseveres all the way to the finish.” Foden thinks that England, who has seemed lifeless thus far, can come alive after their stunning victory over Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen.

Furthermore, Foden has refuted claims that he and Bellingham cannot play on the same Three Lions team. “I don’t agree with that,” he declared. I think our collaboration is effective.

“As I have stated, it’s just the way football operates and how some games have gone.

We put a lot of pressure on the ball at the conclusion of the previous game, and I think we built on it really well. Hopefully, everything will come together in the upcoming game. We’ve benefited somewhat from the manner we won the game against Slovakia.

“I think we have a lot more confidence now to win it the way we did heading into the next games. Now that we know we are capable of far more than we have, we must stay focused and keep evolving.

“We know we can do much better, but the key is to focus on the here and now and avoid thinking back on the past in favour of the future. I believe that’s all we can do, please try to put things right.”

There is a strong desire for Foden to start in the No. 10 position, where he shone during the previous campaign with Premier League winners Manchester City.

Although Foden acknowledges that he is a little frustrated, he thinks there is still a chance for England to advance and win Euro 2024 because the competition is so open.

“I have been a little frustrated,” he continued. I will not tell lies. My goal is to improve and score more points for England. It hasn’t worked out, as I mentioned, but maintaining a positive mindset is important.

“I haven’t come here and not shown it; I’m not the best player in the Premier League. I feel like I’m improving with each game, and hopefully I can provide some strong performances. That is what I have always wanted from England.

It seems like a close-knit competition. Not a single (team) has managed to escape with it. All it demonstrates is the calibre of the teams participating.”
