The future Rangers manager situation has made headlines, and Celtic fans have responded as well.
Following rejections from Steven Gerrard and Danny Rohl, it appears that the Rangers have identified their new manager. The Ibrox job isn’t the most appealing right now because no one has been able to get them over Celtic, who have fired four managers in the last four seasons. Are they looking for stability this time, or will they repeat the process if it fails?
When it became evident that Gerrard would not be returning to Ibrox, it appeared that the Rangers were close to making the appointment that most of their fans want. A familiar face appears ready to return to Ibrox.

According to The Rangers Review, the Rangers are finalising an agreement to hire Kevin Muscat as their new head coach. They’re working on personal terms and a seven-figure remuneration plan.
Muscat is anticipated to stay in China until the end of the season on November 22, even if he gets hired by the Rangers, which appears to be a very likely scenario at this moment. And the Ibrox club would appoint an interim manager till then.
‘Finalise a deal’: Rangers boss news drops, Celtic fans respond.
So it appears Muscat will finally put an end to the Rangers’ managerial hunt. It appears that Ibrox fans are also supporting this proposal, as they believe Muscat is the man to turn things around for them.
If Ange Postecoglou can do it at Celtic, why can’t his former number two do it at Ibrox? It doesn’t always work that way. So, let’s just wait and see.
Muscat has had a wonderful career managing in Asia and Australia, winning league titles with Melbourne Victory, Yokohama F. Marinos, and Shanghai Port. However, he is not without experience in Europe.
He did, however, flunk that test the first time around. He won only two of his 14 games in command of Sint-Truiden before being fired. And this is a team that has been in the Belgian top division for the past decade.
Interestingly, the season with Muscat as manager was their weakest in the last decade. As a result, bringing him in would not be the automatic success that some Rangers fans appear to assume based on his performance in Japan, China, and Australia.
• Celtic are expected to sign a former Liverpool player for £6 million in January. • Sky Sports confirms another manager has rejected Rangers, prompting Celtic fans to respond.

Celtic fans were left chuckling after Steven Gerrard’s U-turn to Rangers. The club is also interested in signing a 32-year-old Manchester City star.
