Zinedine Zidane intends to return to management in the near future.
Zinedine Zidane is holding out for his ‘dream’ position after being out of football management since 2021.
Zidane returned to Real Madrid as a manager after a spectacular playing career that includes a spell with the Spanish giants.
Before taking over as Real Madrid manager in January 2016, he led the club’s B squad, Real Madrid Castilla.
Zidane won three Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles during his two stints as manager of Real Madrid.
However, he resigned from his position after failing to win a trophy in the 2020/21 season.
Zidane has been out of management since, but he has been connected with a number of roles, including the Manchester United job.
He plans to return to management in the near future, with the goal of managing the France national team.
Regarding his future, Zidane stated, “I will absolutely return to teaching. Me at Juventus? I’m not sure why it didn’t happen. I will always have him in my heart because he gave me so much. In the future.
“I’m not sure; one of my aims is to manage the French national team… “We’ll see.”
Didier Deschamps is now in charge of France, but he will stand down following next summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
He is France’s longest-serving coach, having taken command in 2012.
He guided the French to World Cup victory in 2018 and reached the final in 2022, losing to Argentina on penalties.
Given Zidane’s success at Real Madrid and his history with France, which includes World Cup victories, he appears to be an ideal choice to succeed Deschamps when his reign ends.
The 53-year-old has 108 caps for France and won the World Cup in 1998 on home soil. He also won the European Championships in 2000.
Although Deschamps and Zidane played together for Juventus and France, speculations say that they do not get along.
However, Deschamps refuted suggestions that he has a beef with Zidane, noting that they have a lot of respect for one other.
“Another great preconceived idea,” he began. “We spent several years together. We still have a lot of mutual regard. By the way, the last time we saw one other, we swapped and talked nicely… both sides still recognise each other’s success.
“I’m not one of his closest buddies. We both have our own lives, but no matter what happens, we will always respect one other.
