Celtic may be experiencing all manner of off-field issues, but one thing is certain: things are not as terrible as they are at Rangers.
Rangers have terminated Russell Martin as manager, after what has been an exciting stay, and the Ibrox club is now looking for a new coach.
The gossip mill suggests that Steven Gerrard might be the guy to return to Scotland, as Celtic’s dominance has remained unwavering since his departure for Aston Villa in 2021.
Gerrard did win the Premiership title once, but it was all he could muster for the Gers, as Simon Jordan has given the former player a reality check ahead of a possible meeting with Celtic again.

Celtic are’streets ahead’ of Rangers amid potential Steven Gerrard returns.
After Rangers, Gerrard worked for Villa before moving on to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ettifaq, where he ‘failed’ both times, according to Jordan.
Furthermore, the former Crystal Palace owner believes Celtic ‘weren’t in the best of shape’ when Gerrard won the Scottish league.
Jordan thinks Celtic aren’t in a good spot right now, but he still believes the Scottish champions are’streets ahead’ of their rivals, as he told talkSport.
“Gerrard has failed in his last two opportunities to manage,” according to Jordan. “He had a moment in time at Rangers.” A totally different Celtic at the time, and not in the best of shape.
“Okay, they’re not in great shape right now. However, they remain far ahead of the Rangers. You look at this and wonder, ‘What does Gerrard bring to the equation?’ In my opinion, it is a sloppy way of thinking.
“We know that only two teams in Scotland win the league. It’s not like playing anywhere else.
“Of course, if you go to Glasgow Rangers or Glasgow Celtic, you only have one option: win or fail, because no one else can win the league. “No one else wins the league.”
Gerrard’s record versus Brendan Rodgers.
Brendan Rodgers tutored Gerrard as a player at Liverpool and then faced him in the dugout during his first spell as Celtic manager.
Rodgers has won the title in each of those two spells, and while Hearts are showing some life this season, the story is expected to repeat itself.
But, if Gerrard does return, what is his record versus Rodgers?
Gerrard has four wins over Rodgers. Results: 2 draws and 1 loss.
