The goalie acknowledged that Jock Stein’s team was superior on that occasion, but he is much more optimistic about Red Star’s chances this time.
“From an objective standpoint, we were unable to compete with Celtic during that time,” he stated in an interview with the Serbian publication Sportissmo.
“Now, things are very different. Although I am aware of Red Star’s strength, I am not entirely aware of the Scottish team’s actual state or strength.
“The supporters are crucial, and I hope that they will continue to support the team and show up in big numbers. Our crew was constantly given wings by them.
“I’d take advantage of the chance to extend an invitation to all of the fans, encourage as many to attend, and offer genuine support.”

According to Europa League regulations, teams must contribute at least 5% of the stadium’s budget.
With 2,600 tickets available, the Rajko Mitic Stadium, also called the Marakana, is the largest away end according to that verdict.
Having so many Celtic supporters travel to Belgrade to support the team and, ideally, keep the home crowd as silent as possible is really beneficial.
