The Chelsea star was clearly upset after being pulled off early in the encounter against Manchester United.
Chelsea fans are upset with star player Cole Palmer after noticing his relationship with Kobbie Mainoo after being substituted early.
Manchester United hosted rivals Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon in one of the most anticipated games of an entertaining round of Premier League fixtures.
With both teams trying to contend for a berth in next season’s Champions League, the outcome might be critical by the end of the season.
However, Enzo Maresca’s side’s misery began when goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was sent off just five minutes into the game, less than ten minutes before United captain Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring.
It only got worse for Chelsea later in the first half, when star midfielder Palmer was substituted in the 21st minute, and fans believe they know precisely what he said to England teammate Mainoo as he exited the pitch.

Palmer made it plain that he was unhappy when he stepped off the pitch early to be replaced by Andrey Santos, throwing something to the ground in rage.
After calming down, the Chelsea player was seen conversing with United’s Mainoo on the touchline, and Chelsea fans believe Palmer was informing his England teammate that he had suffered another injury setback.
In response to the incident, one Chelsea fan remarked on X: “I believe Palmer told Mainoo he has a groin injury from reading lips, and he pointed to his groin area.”
Another person confirmed: “Cole Palmer has ice on his groin. His substitution was due to an injury.
Not all fans were pleased with Palmer’s actions, with one writing: “I know they’re mates, but Palmer’s little smirk with Mainoo as he walks off, feels like a slap in the face to those who’ve travelled up there today.”

Some fans reportedly claimed that Palmer appeared to point to his crotch when conversing with manager Enzo Maresca as he walked off the pitch.
Earlier in the season, the 23-year-old Palmer had to withdraw from Chelsea’s roster as he warmed up for the encounter against London rivals West Ham United. He later missed the next match against Fulham before returning after the September international break.
