New players for Liverpool One of their teammates is the “fastest player in the world,” according to Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez. During a historic transfer window this summer, when the Reds were still celebrating winning the Premier League title the previous season, the pair came to Anfield with the intention of fixing the roof.
One teammate was named the fastest football player on the earth by Kerkez and Ekitike, two of the acquisitions that did go through. This gave manager Arne Slot’s club a new dimension that they might not have had the previous season.
According to teammates, Jeremie Frimpong is the “fastest player in the world.”

Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, for example, weren’t slouches the previous season. Those at the AXA training facility, however, have been greatly pleased by Frimpong’s speed. The Reds activated his £29.5 million release clause in May, before the window had even opened.
Ekitike and Kerkez didn’t hesitate to respond when EASFC Mobile asked them on Instagram to name the fastest player on the Liverpool squad. Ekitike remarked, “Jeremie, every day.” Kerkez concurred, saying, “Too fast, too quick,” but then his French teammate—who has already scored three goals for his new team—added (see the entire clip below):
“He’s the world’s fastest, in my opinion.”

Trent and Frimpong are two entirely different full-backs. Frimpong offers more explosive runs to the touchline than his predecessor, who would select his moments rather than press the problem by twisting the needle.
He can, however, contribute offensively, as evidenced by his 14 goals and 12 assists over the last two Bundesliga seasons. In fact, he has already been suggested as Salah’s backup when the Egyptian King travels to AFCON in January.

Giorgi Mamardashvili joined the panel to choose whether player in the EAFC game should receive a higher rating, in addition to Ekitike and Kerkez. They were also asked, as part of the process, who among the Liverpool players had the best footballing brain. They all seemed to agree with Alexis Mac Allister, so it felt like another answer that didn’t need to be thought about.
