Garnacho is on the verge of joining Chelsea.
Manchester United and Chelsea are still negotiating the trade of Alejandro Garnacho, and an unusual name has come up.
Chelsea are still in talks with United about signing Garnacho, who has been told he can leave Old Trafford after being named to the ‘bomb squad’ alongside Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia.
The 21-year-old is’very excited’ about joining Enzo Maresca’s team, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Chelsea expects the Alejandro Garnacho deal to happen,” Romano stated on his YouTube channel. “I believe we’ll have a ‘Here We Go’ this week. The player is confident that this transaction will take place.”
Garnacho has turned down offers from Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Germany this summer, as well as other Premier League clubs, in favour of a transfer to Chelsea.
Chelsea academy product is mentioned in Garnacho discussions
In his latest video, Fabrizio Romano claims that highly-rated forward Tyrique George was discussed during recent discussions between Manchester United and Chelsea.
“This is a behind-the-scenes story I can tell you about these negotiations, but from what I’ve heard, this option was already dropped a few weeks ago,” he added of George’s role in the sale.
“At the moment, Tyrique George is not part of those conversations.”
George, meantime, is one of the names being evaluated by Roma, who have inquired about the player following his breakout season at Chelsea last season, in which he scored three goals and assisted five times in 26 appearances.
Man Utd suggested another Chelsea player during discussions.
According to transfer specialist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea’s first bid for Garnacho will be about £30 million, lower than United’s asking price of at least £50 million.

Jacobs also reported that Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Ligue 1 club Strasbourg, was referenced in talks between the teams.
“Andrey Santos has been spoken about, I don’t think it’s going to lead anywhere because Chelsea don’t want to sell,” the player told The United Stand. “That’s another player that Manchester United appreciates, it’s nothing more than that at this stage.”
