The Premier League team has contested its star player’s accusations. ‘
Newcastle United have issued an official statement in response to star player Alexander Isak’s contentious statements on social media about his transfer plans.
On Tuesday night, several of the Premier League’s greatest players celebrated their abilities at the annual Professional Football Awards (PFA) in Manchester, but one guy was noticeably absent.
Despite being named to the PFA squad of the season for scoring 23 goals in 34 Premier League appearances, Newcastle’s Isak declined to attend the ceremony.
Instead, the Sweden international issued a critical message on social media, stating that Newcastle had breached ‘promises’ to him and making it obvious that he wanted to leave the club in the summer.
Newcastle United has replied to their star striker’s comments with an official statement regarding the ongoing transfer drama.

Throughout the summer, Isak has been widely connected with a move to Premier League champions Liverpool, which would be a British record deal of £120-150 million.
However, Newcastle’s new statement emphasizes that, despite him expressing his desire to leave online, they do not want to move the striker this summer since it is not in the club’s best interest.
Newcastle United declared in a post on the club’s website and social media that they were saddened to have been notified of a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening.
“We are clear in responding that Alex is still under contract, and no club official has ever stated that Alex will be able to leave Newcastle United this summer.
“We want to keep our greatest players, but we also recognize that players have their own preferences and listen to their feedback.
“As we said to Alex and his representatives, we must always consider the best interests of Newcastle United, the team, and our supporters in all decisions, and we have made it clear that the terms of a sale this summer have not been met.
“We don’t see those requirements being met.
“This is a strong football club with proud history, and we want to maintain our family atmosphere. Alex remains a member of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates.”

The 25-year-old allegedly sees Liverpool as the only club he wants to join, despite interest from Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal, with Reds boss Arne Slot describing the move as his dream transfer.
However, with Newcastle stating unequivocally that he is not for sale, it becomes increasingly probable that Isak will stay a Magpies player this season and will have to reintegrate into the group in the coming weeks.
