Shock club makes enquiry about Alexander Isak hours after Liverpool say they ‘won’t bid again’

Another club unexpectedly enquired about Alexander Isak after Newcastle rejected Liverpool’s approach.

Following Liverpool’s unsuccessful bid, word leaked out that a surprise club had suddenly decided to make an inquiry for Alexander Isak.

Following an initial attempt, Liverpool officially presented an offer for Isak on Friday, capping a recent headline-grabbing story surrounding the wantaway Swede.

As Liverpool sought to continue their massive spending binge after adding Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Hugo Ekitike, the bid was widely rumoured to be a flat £110 million.

Newcastle, however, rejected the idea right away and continues to hold out hope that their talisman will be able to stay at St. James’ Park despite his obvious wish to depart.

Numerous sites stated shortly after the bid that Liverpool was willing to walk away from a possible deal and would not be boosting their offer.

Man United makes a startling inquiry about Isak
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, however, says Manchester United has been keeping an eye on the issue and has contacted them regarding an extremely audacious move.

Isak knocked United, who are vying with Newcastle for Benjamin Sesko, a striker for RB Leipzig, back because he only wants to join the Premier League winners.

According to the writer, Isak and Liverpool have reached an agreement for a deal that will last until 2031, but Newcastle is refusing to sell.

It has been stated that Isak’s representatives are hopeful that a move may still be negotiated, even though they hope they can reach an agreement that will see Isak lead the line once more for the forthcoming season.

Due to what the team claims is a “minor thigh issue,” Isak has been practicing alone at his previous club, Real Sociedad, rather than joining Newcastle for their preseason trip.

At a recent press conference in Seoul, manager Eddie Howe gave an update following Anthony Gordon’s discussion of the circumstances surrounding his teammate.

“I know where he is, really, through the media,” said Howe.

It’s hard for me to get into any detail from that vantage point. The situation is complicated and far from ideal.

“I didn’t even know about the proposal until yesterday (Friday), when I was informed that it had been rejected.

“The situation is being handled by people in England. I have no idea what will happen next. From our vantage point, we continue to stand by Alex in every manner, and I hope to see him wearing a Newcastle shirt once more.
