The Barcelona winger celebrated his 18th birthday on Sunday, July 13, with a party.
Following his 18th birthday celebration, Lamine Yamal has been threatened with legal action.
Yamal, a winger for Barcelona and Spain, spent his 18th birthday over the weekend, spending time with loved ones on the Mediterranean shore.
The teenager was seen having a good time with Spanish musicians and influencers Bizarrap, Duki, Ozuna, and Bad Gyal, as well as Barca colleagues Gavi and Alejandro Balde.
According to the Mail, Yamal even allegedly received a necklace worth £300,000 from Dominican musician El Alfa, suggesting that at first the party seemed to be a lovely get-together with little problems.
However, Yamal was accused of “hiring people with dwarfism as part of entertainment” in a statement issued by the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) on Sunday.
“The Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE), a member organization of the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities (COCEMFE), condemns and publicly denounces the hiring of people with dwarfism as part of the entertainment at the recent 18th birthday party of soccer player Lamine Yamal,” read a statement (translated from Spanish to English) that was posted on the association’s website.

Given that these activities not only contravene existing laws but also the core moral principles of a society that aspires to equality and respect, the Association declares that it will take legal and social action to protect the dignity of those with disabilities.
People with dwarfism were only used for advertising and entertainment purposes on the young football player’s birthday, who was a well-known personality in Spanish sport. This kind of behavior, according to ADEE, is unacceptable since it feeds prejudice, reinforces stereotypes, and damages the rights and reputation of individuals with achondroplasia or other skeletal dysplasias as well as all individuals with disabilities.
It’s intolerable that persons with dwarfism are still utilized as entertainment at private gatherings in the twenty-first century, and it’s more worse when public celebrities like Lamine Yamal are involved, said ADEE President Carolina Puente. Under no circumstances should anyone find amusement in the rights and dignity of our community.
Evengo claims that while using people with dwarfism for entertainment is prohibited in a number of nations, including Canada, it is not considered a crime if the individual in question gives their agreement.
Although not against the law, the act is often regarded as unethical in the UK, where safety laws are in place.
Disability rights organizations praised the Spanish parliament’s 2023 decision to outlaw bullfighting between individuals with dwarfism, as reported by The Guardian.
