As MUFC continues to pursue Mbeumo, United will gain millions following the most recent Real Madrid acquisition.
Real Madrid, an odd source, has given Manchester United a helpful transfer boost as they attempt to finalize a deal for Bryan Mbeumo.
Since the Premier League giant hasn’t been able to agree on a price with Brentford for the Cameroon international, United has been after Mbeumo for well over a month.
United and the player have worked out personal terms, but they haven’t yet matched the Bees’ asking price for Mbeumo, which is causing the talks to stall.
Rio Ferdinand acknowledged last week that if the trade doesn’t work out, former team United would be in a “egg in your face situation.”
Brentford turned down United’s initial offer of £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons, while the Bees turned down a second offer at the end of June of £55 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons.

Although United’s first two proposals were turned down, Brentford, who have been connected to Omari Hutchinson, have set an asking price of £65 million for Mbeumo. They are hopeful that a third bid would persuade the west London team to pay for the versatile forward.
Additionally, United has benefited from a 20% sell-on clause for Alvaro Carreras, who completed his transfer to Real Madrid.
Carreras’ transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United
United is expected to profit from Carreras’ return to the Bernabeu when he is introduced as a Real Madrid player this week.
In 2020, the Spanish left-back left Madrid for United, but he never played for the Premier League team.
Carreras moved to Benfica in January of last year for the second half of the 2023–24 season after first going on loan to Preston and then Granada.
Last summer, Benfica exercised their option to make the move permanent for a mere £5 million, which turned out to be a great deal because the 22-year-old excelled for the Portuguese powerhouse.
The sale of Carreras will bring in about £38 million for Liga Portugal, of which £7.6 million (20%) is owing to United.
Elanga moves to Newcastle in order to increase United’s spending.
Additionally, United’s finances will be strengthened by Anthony Elanga’s high-profile transfer to Newcastle this weekend.
With a sell-on provision included in the agreement that saw him depart Old Trafford for Nottingham Forest in 2023, United is entitled to 15% of the £52 million the Swede secured over the weekend to go to St. James’ Park.

As United looks to enhance Ruben Amorim’s roster this summer, the cash infusion will help the team’s recruitment budget.
Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno and Matheus Cunha from Wolves were already acquired by United for £62.5 million.
For the sake of the team, the momentum from Carreras’ move to Real Madrid and Elanga’s move to Newcastle in recent days should help drive a deal for Mbeumo over the finish line.
