Paris Saint-Germain is playing Bayern Munich in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Following what appeared to be a horrific injury to Jamal Musiala, the Bayern Munich vs. Paris Saint-Germain game was immediately paused.
The quarterfinal of the recently redesigned FIFA Club World Cup pitted German powerhouse Bayern against Champions League winners PSG on Saturday afternoon.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, the goalkeeper for PSG, beat Musiala to the ball inside the penalty area near the end of the first half.
After what appeared to be a terrible lower leg injury, the young German was left on the deck, clearly distressed and yelling in agony.
When Donnarumma realized how seriously injured Musiala appeared, he was pictured with his hand on his face.
“There is serious concern for Jamal Musiala here as he is injured after coming together with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma,” the BBC said in their blog post during the live match.
“Donnarumma, the other PSG players, and Musiala’s teammates from Bayern Munich are all inconsolable.
“A stretcher has been brought on to help the Germany international off the field and that will be the final action of the half.”
“OHHHH NOO.. THIS IS NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR MUSIALA…..” was one fan’s social media reaction.
“I really hope that’s not a bad injury for Musiala,” someone another tweeted.
“Man, I don’t even care about the tournament anymore,” a third fan commented.
Another person commented: “That looked awful. I hope he’s doing well.
One person said, “This is terrible.”

Shortly after the halftime siren blew, several Bayern players were observed remaining on the field, seemingly worried about Musiala’s injuries.
Musiala, 22, was carried out on a stretcher at the beginning of the second half, and Serg Gnabry, another German international, took his place.
Following a run of outstanding performances, Musiala has emerged as one of Bayern’s most crucial players in recent years.
The German added, “I’m really happy,” after signing a new contract with the Bavarian club back in February. I made my professional football debut here, and I am convinced that we can do great things with this team in the years to come.
“I feel comfortable at the club with our wonderful supporters as well as in Munich. We want to accomplish a number of things.
