Cristiano Ronaldo tells Al Nassr to scrap move for Arsenal star and sign Real Madrid man instead as £73 million bid submitted

The former Real Madrid player wants his old team to be raided by Al Nassr.

Al Nassr has been instructed by Cristiano Ronaldo to forgo intentions to sign a top Arsenal player in favor of a Real Madrid star.

Ronaldo signed a new contract with Al Nassr last month, extending his stay in the Saudi Pro League until 2027, following months of rumors that he was thinking about leaving.

Following the confirmation of his contract renewal, Ronaldo took to social media to declare that it was the beginning of a “new chapter” at the Saudi Arabian club.

Since then, Al Nassr has been connected to the moves of a number of players worldwide, such as Gabriel Martinelli, a winger for Arsenal, and Luis Diaz, a star for Liverpool.

Ronaldo, however, is said to have instructed the team to drop all preparations to sign the two Premier League players and instead focus on a top Real Madrid player who might become available this summer.

It is evident that Al Nassr manager Jorge Jesus is keen to sign a big player this window in order to make a statement after Ronaldo’s new deal was confirmed.

Additionally, Ronaldo believes that Real Madrid winger Rodrygo should be this huge acquisition, according to a report by Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Sports Switzerland.

Any suggestion that Rodrygo might leave Madrid would have been laughed at just a few months ago, but with the hiring of new manager Xabi Alonso, it is becoming more and more likely that the Brazilian’s future may be elsewhere.

According to sources, Rodrygo is thinking of asking to be sold since he has had trouble finding a spot in Alonso’s starting lineup while Real Madrid competes in the Club World Cup throughout America.

The 24-year-old is reportedly becoming more and more irritated with Alonso’s habit of benching him for important games, which is why he is delaying the present contract talks.

However, teams like Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich would be formidable rivals if Al Nassr hopes to recruit the talented Brazilian.

Furthermore, according to a report from the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Al Nassr has already made an offer of €85 million (£73 million) for Martinelli. This suggests that Ronaldo’s demands may be disregarded, increasing Arsenal’s chances of acquiring Rodrygo this summer.
